You really have to wonder what was talked about during that last timeout.

Sutton was a couple feet away from the line, wildly jumping up and down guarding the inbounder instead of right on the line going straight up and down to make the pass harder. He may as well not have even been there.
Robert Miller is in front of the guy and for some reason jumps to catch the ball instead of batting it down. A horribly mistimed jump at that.
Since we had no defenders in the lane, the guy McKinnon was “guarding” would have had an uncontested layup had the pass been just a little longer.
Our entire staff sucks.

All they had to do was "tip" the ball. Even if it would have gone out of bounds, time would have expired.
Has a team ever won a game with a long pass with 1.7 seconds? Even Lattner's shot had more time. He caught it, dribbled left, turned right and shot it. Maybe when the USSR beat USA in the 72 olympics?

Watch the replay. Chandler moved both feet before he threw the ball and should have been called for traveling.

You have to move your pivot foot a lot more than a couple inches to have a ref call walking on that play.
