Couldn’t we just offer a million dollars to every citizen of Greenland if they vote to leave Denmark and join the United States?

That would just cost us 57 Billion. That seems like a deal, and at that point what would Denmark do, we are just giving the people what they want.

Apparently a Denmark delegation met with Trump yesterday at the whitehouse and was seen on video leaving with big smiles on their faces and fist bumping each other

I’d bet They’re selling

That’s less than we’ve sent to Ukraine to lose a war.

Do you people not understand how Trump does his thing yet?? Show the extreme, and make the other options more palatable. But he also makes sure the extreme is a legit option.

Don’t act like 1 million apiece wouldn’t buy enough votes. I’m confident I could swing every election in the United States by offering the citizens 1 million apiece or whatever outcome I want..

Donnie loves giving money to other countries, this sounds very plausible

Don't you think our actions with Greenland fit the Trump dynamic?

I’m an idiot … the number is just so incredibly small that I thought it was impossible. Spouted off before thinking. I need more coffee

You wouldn’t need to go that deep in offering money as 65-70% would be enough. Use a little to enhance or propping up to win those others heats and minds. Instead of teaching them to code those natural resources can be taught to harvest.

Couldn’t China do the same to Puerto Rico?

Sure... but PR is 56x more populous than Greenland, so we're looking at 3.2 trillion.

Just 57 Billion?
You act like that's chump change.

Is that what you want your tax dollars spent on?
Not me.

Since the current stance on US fiscal policy is: “so what. Just print the money and do it”

Couldn’t China do the same and buy Puerto Rico?
