RB Coach Kevin Smith- Kiffin/Weis scheme

I know when Frank left it hurt some people and there wasnt clear understanding.
Frank didnt fit the run game (our new offense is based on the run game which was at least halfway developed by the Briles guys) that Kiffin, Weis and Kendal Briles developed over the last 8 years. It started with Kiffin taking the FAU job and hiring Briles....they expanded it after Weis took over at Ole Miss.
The familiarity between a running back coach and this scheme cannot be overstated as the running back's aiming points, vision, protections, and patience has to be taught and learned.
This is why Frank couldnt stay as an on the field coach. When you have a good system, you hate to change it or try to re-teach an old dog new tricks.

No. Frank isn't the RB coach b/c he wasn't good at coaching and developing RB's. Scheme had ZERO to do with it.

All I know is that Kiffin/Weiss run the ball like 500 times per year and it’s like 60/40 run/pass. I like that.

I agree with you. I'm just saying...having a RB coach that knows your scheme is more than helpful

I can't wait to see the RB depth chart.

Honestly, I don't care. I was never upset with Frank leaving. We haven't had a decent running game since he came and I was happy to see the house cleaned of those responsible. I trust Kiffin to do whatever it takes to have the best hurry up offense around combined with a good to great defense that will allow us to make football fun to watch.
He's hit the ground running and there is nothing that says he isn't serious as hell about creating a dynasty starting at day 1 here. And that gives me a smile every time I think about it. I can't wait until it's our opponents puking on the field instead of our soft sorry asses.

Look I like Frank. I love his passion for Louisiana. But let’s be honest he isn’t a very good coach. The reason he keeps getting jobs is his people skills with blacks and his recruiting skills and that is just the truth

I love his passion for Louisiana
I have a passion for Boudoin Balls from Best Stop in Scott, LOUISIANA.
I have a passion for Chili Omelets with a Chocolate-Cherry Freeze from Camellia Grill in New Orleans, LOUISIANA
I used to have a passion for LSU football on Saturday Night in Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge LOUISIANA, when the only noise in the Coliseum was coming from the mouths of LSU fans and the Golden Band from Tiger Land.
Frank Wilson's "Passion" for LOUISIANA is certainly questionable; he's Massa Wife's problem now.
