What are some of the best and most interesting movies and TV shows that accurately portray the Vikings? I've watched the first 2 seasons of the show Vikings on Netflix and have enjoyed it, but is there anything better than that show out there?

I thought the t.v. series Vikings was pretty well done. The last 2 or 3 seasons got a little weak. However, overall one of my favorite series from t.v.

Last Kingdom and 13th Warrior have already been mentioned, I’ll add in The Northman.

I preferred Vikings over The Last Kingdom, but both were very well done.

I enjoyed The Northman. If I hadn’t already seen Conan the Barbarian, Vikings, or Excalibur, I might have liked it even more. Still, it was definitely good.

Vikings is in my top 5 all time series. I was absolutely obsessed when I binged it about 4-5 years ago. So much so I bought a Viking gourd to drink out of when I watched

The Northman is great. I’ve heard good things about The Last Kingdom as well. Stay away from the sequel series to Vikings, Vikings: Valhalla. It sucks.

The Northman is fantastic, as long as you like Robert Eggers. It is very much one of his movies . I loved it though.

Valhalla Rising is great. Very stark and hyper violent. Also the most physically uncomfortable movie that you will see. Mads Mikelsen in the lead role. Surprised it took so many posts before someone mentioned it.

glad I'm not the only one.
I tried a couple times and just couldn't get in to it.

Stop after season 4. It's one of the best shows ever if you stop there.

The characters just didn’t have NEAR the charisma and screen presence the OG ones did like Ragnar, Floki, Bjorn, and Ivar. They were all a bore.
