Baseball? Easy over 9.5.

OVER WAY OVER....
because I will never expect LSU to suck... it may not be realistic, but I am not a fan to expect failure.

Under…we are basically building a team from the ground up. Hoping I have to come back to this thread and admit that I was wrong!

9.5 is probably a good spot for the season
10 with post season for sure

I'd love to say 10 wins and in the CFP confidently, but 2026 is a real tough schedule.
Clemson
at Ole Miss
Texas A&M
at Auburn (always a nail biter)
Alabama, Texas, and at Tennessee all three weeks in a row.
There are likely two losses in there but all seven could truly go any way. I think 9-3 is realistically optimistic in the first year, but the 2027 schedule looks very friendly and our best bet for the next title run IMO.

9.5 is pretty low, I know Matt has been bad but he usually racks up in the OOC

Here is my thing. This defense and this HORRID offense got you 7 wins. Are we saying adding Kiffin, better QB play, keeping Baker and his defense, and what has to be better oline play gets you 2 more wins?

Win two of three between Bama, Texas and Tennessee; we’ll go 10-2

We will win all the wins.

I think 9 to 10 wins is fairly accurate, I believe we will prob drop a game early and we will some good old fashion TD lunacy but I believe this team will improve immensely towards the back half of the schedule. Mostly the offense, it will take some time for this offense to gel but the evidence will be strong towards the end of the year.

quote:I agree, that's the toughest stretch of the season by far. Ole Miss will also be a lethal environment and something about that game and the story around it gives me a bad feeling. I'm sold if that's our only two losses, but that's a tall order.

10-3 with a bowl win.
Playoffs in year two.

No. It’s not. We have one of the toughest schedules in the country.

With the roster Jay has built, under 9.5 would be equal parts impressive, depressing, and criminal.

Clemson
Ole Miss
Texas A&M ?
Auburn not concerned
Alabama
Texas probably an L
Tennessee
I think the ceiling is 11-1, 10-2 is likely, and 8-4 is the absolute worst case scenario floor.
