He’s already put out a statement that he is here for the 2026 season.

He likely ends up in the NFL. Just not next season.

He’s getting paid more as LSU’s OC than he would in the NFL plus he would owe 5 mil if he leaves. He ain’t

I believe he wouldn’t owe lsu if he takes an nfl job. It’s only if he takes a college football coordinating job. May be wrong.

The Eagles are about as good a landing spot as Weis could get. Great org, great roster and a QB that fits his system.

ETA: In the NFL

Nothing to see here, a statement has already been put out. Coaches are not allowed to back track on statements.

If he did take the job y’all would be fine. He proved this year (especially in the playoffs) he has gotten a lot better as a play caller. If he leaves though Kiffin will find a good replacement and y’all will still likely be top 5 in total offense in the SEC next year

He won't owe LSU a dime if he leaves for the NFL. He already said he isn't interested in NFL, it's fake false news, and he wants to be at LSU. But if LSU is in the playoffs next year, multiple NFL teams will be hot after him.

He would just hire John David Baker to replace him like last time.

Srianni would be crazy to hire Weis jr over someone like Daboll.

But if there were ever a time for Weis to jump to the NFL it would be now his stock is pretty damn high and he’s still very young.

I don't think this is past tense. I think they showed interest and now they are making arrangements to get him in for an interview. Weis Jr is on the NFL radar and I anticipate him taking an OC job this cycle. The contract he signed with LSU only requires substantial buyout money for other NCAA jobs. He's free to take an NFL gig.
