Been to many, many live rock music concerts in my lifetime. Most all were in ‘standard’ music venues / arenas. Nothing iconic or particularly noteworthy.

What are must-do iconic venues? Examples that come to mind…

Red Rocks
Slane Castle, Ireland
Royal Albert Hall, London

I’m retiring soon. It’s time for music bucket list. I need a list!

Go to Southdowns Gym and pay homage to the Sex Pistols

Ditto...

the site of Independence Hall and Hendrix/NY Dolls

the site of the Speakeasy and The MC5

Ryman

LA Hayride in S'port

Longhorn in Dallas. Sex Pistols played there. I believe the place they played in Tulsa is still open

The Summit in Houston. (Now Lakewood Church). Countless live albums were made there. The acoustics were awesome, and the sight lines were perfect for an arena show.

My favorite live albums/shows from there are Queen in 1977 and Journey when they did the MTV debut there.

Saw Metallica there late 1990s

When I see Joel Osteen, I think Enter Sandman.
