If tweet fails to load, click here. Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker just signed the Clean Slate Act — automatically sealing millions of criminal records.
They’re wiping theft, dr*g, and disorderly conduct convictions — and calling it “justice.

Most will have a full rap sheet again by the end of the year.

Wouldn't that open the door for felons to get guns?

He lives beyond a wall with armed security to look over him and his family.
Too bad for the rest of the peons in IL.

I'm all for second chances excluding murder and serious sex crimes.
But, there's a huge difference between that and just pretending shite never happened.

Sane people of IL:
"Governor. We need to do something about people with 30 convictions committing more crimes!"
Pritzker:
"No worries serf! I'm on it!"

This is the part that Leftists can’t understand. They think that, if they’re nice to them, they’ll want to change. Some might, but there is too much data out there about repeat offenders.

What gets me is how they can let a person out of prison and back into society but try to retain their inalienable rights.
If they are violent, why are they out of prison? If prison does not correct their behavior we do know what life in prison or the death penalty does for them and society.
For some reason they want people back on the streets wearing a tag that says I am a really bad person and expect everything to be fine and dandy for them.

The left uses criminals/ gun crime to erode rights, it's a simple power grab to entrench themselves via fear.

Prison does nothing to stop their behavior. Prison keeps them from attacking law abiding citizens.
I fully support life in prison for any violent crimes. Death would be fine, but thats sometimes hard to get through the courts.
If someone is too violent to release, dont release them. Legislatures need to change the penalty to life without parole.
THAT might keep some others from committing the same crime, knowing if they get caught they go to jail forever.
And by forever I mean that. I think the bodies of people sentenced to life should be cremated and the ashes spread on the prison yard.
You never leave.
