Who are some candidates you would like to see as next season’s basketball coach?

Obviously Will Wade but he isn’t coming back. I like Jerrod Calhoun at Utah State. He’s in his second season there. Last year he was 26-8 and he’s 15-1 (6-0 in conference)this season

Will LSU admin give basketball the support it needs? If not it won't matter who the coach is

If you bring in the right guy (someone like Wade) private money will flow into the AD.
The next LSU basketball coach needs to understand that. Football will obviously always be first and get the most backing. LSU, unlike a ton of other schools, also pours millions into baseball. That is something the next coach will HAVE to understand - they're going to be required to fundraise a little to get what they want. Wade understood that.
I think MM did too, but didn't adapt fast enough. The first year was always going to be rough with the post season ban. He then had a decent second year, but just didn't do enough in the portal to compete in his third year. At that point, all momentum and trust was gone.
Now this year, he unfortunately lost his 2 best players and engine of the offense. I'd be willing to give him more grace if he was coming off a tournament appearance, but when you're 0-3 in that regard, no amount of excuses can keep your job.

I'll never understand how people just say things like this. See it proven wrong time and time again. Reminds me of the people adamant Kiffin wasn't coming to LSU.
Maybe he won't, but how do you know this as such a fact?

There is a slight difference between the two situations.
