This may be something I’m way behind on. But, I don’t frequent fast food drive-thrus often anymore. Pulled up and was greeted by an AI sounding assistant. Perfect clarity and volume. Asked me what I wanted. I gave my order. It asked if the order was correct on the screen. Remarkably, it was; even with a request for the exact number of hot sauces. Dang!

Now you'll miss out on the culturally-enriching experience of "whatchoo want?" and then having your order completely wrong. Like not even one item correct.
Those heady days are coming to an end at all fast food places baws. Sad to see.
I mean is it really even fast food anymore if you're not treated like shite, have to wait 20 minutes, and then have your order fricked up?

I frequent Taco Bell so I've observed how the AI order taker has improved over the past year or so and its pretty impressive. It can understand pretty much anything now (add/ subtract ingredients, order changes etc..) and I've noticed no errors with my orders. It would typically get a something wrong with an order 1 in every 5 visits and I eat there about once a week.

It was so bad when it first rolled out, I would place a mobile order, roll up, and say, "Mobile order for Bob." And it would frick up understanding my simple arse name so often the human in the store would intervene.
