Anyone “popped” a rib?

I believe me, a 36” pipe wrench and a pipe got cross at work a few days ago and pop…. Self diagnosis is a popped rib. What kind of heal up time am I looking at?

Bottom of the rib cage or middle? I don't know if "popped" is an official thing - do you mean a direct impact or overexertion leading to pain? Years ago I decided to weasel my way into a tight gap in the attic over a 2x12 and the bottom of my rib cage hurt for a month. Do not recommend.

It was more of a squish than an impact… chest against a pipe, pulled pipe wrench, compressed chest and pop. The pain is low and mid rib cage

Take Tylenol, it'll probably disappear in two days.

There are several videos on yt on how to fix that.

I strained my oblique ab muscle doing Jiu jitsu.. in the moment I felt a pop and intense pain. Made it hard to twist or rotate for about a month

I've had a popped rib head a few times, never did determine if it was the same one. Treatment was basically anti-inflammatories, and therapy to relief the area to allow the rib head to pop back in place. Duration varied each time (believe it was 3, may have been 4 different times)

I pop ribs out of place frequently. Chiropractor helps almost immediately. Aside from that time & rest along with anti-inflammatories.

I have one that subluxes, in my back on left side.
It had done it a few times- and I would rest, massage, take it easy, etc. Eventually I would coincidentally pop my back weird and it would get better.
About a year ago it happened again bad during some super heavy squats, went to chiro- subluxed rib, little massage to relax and pressed it back in.
Now that I know what it is- when it happens, I just brace myself in a squat rack, push myself back against the barbell, deep breath and pop it back myself. Then a few days later I'm good as new once the soreness subsides.

I’ve had one out of place for several weeks. I did a stretch I found on YouTube that brought temp relief. I ultimately quit working out for a week and a half and the pain went away. At first I thought I had kidney stones.
