Sen. Ted Cruz, the Texas Republican eyeing a 2028 White House run, torched Vice President Vance and ridiculed President Trump's tariff policy during private meetings with donors, according to recordings obtained by Axios.

Impeachment has obviously been watered down by the democrats. POTUS Trump is a sponge.

I don't think Ted is wrong about losing the house, senate, and Trump being impeached.

Not sure how much impeachment really matters anymore, though.

I did not listen - not worth the time

Did he give a solution because all I ever hear is "if you do what dems want we won't impeach"

That’s pretty much how everyone talks behind the scenes.

They just can’t do it publicly or you become vilified like Massie. No different from how Dems operate.

Cruz should be in the Knesset given his political priorities.

Ted is right but its Thune, Johnson and the pathetic GOP that is losing. Nobody has voted for the GOP in a long time, the only reason they are there is the expansion of the GOP base that Trump brought

The SAFE act not passing shows that the GOP wants their gang of losers back in power and to hand over the US to their lords.

The sooner they start preaching about "losing" is always a clear indicator of projection.

For the second time given full control of the government the GOP has spent the first two years doing everything possible to avoid passing legislation related to the platform they ran on, actively undermining Trump and being genuinely worthless.

The gaslighting required to blame Trump for potentially losing the house after they yet again decided to sit on the football rather than govern is hilarious.

Though Cruz doesn’t hide it, his performance on Tucker was absolutely embarrassing (and telling). Maybe not for the exact reasons as his but he is just one among the many of similar ilk.

It only matters in the sense that NOTHING else is getting done.

I’m not sure it even matters.

The executive is working without legislative support. Losing won’t change that.

If anything, this further exposed the uniparty.
