Along with Payton not taking the fg in the first half. The first down they gave the Patriots on the 4th down was clearly short. Patriots get the call always in these situations. We’re looking at OT if not for that and a Broncos win if Payton kicked the fg. NFL sucks!

Payton deciding to forego a gimme FG in the 1st quarter cost them. It would have given a 2 score lead to a backup QB. That was stupid especially knowing the second half would have bad weather.

Not kicking the FG was boneheaded.
Maye was short, but there was no way they were going to reverse the call on the field as there was no clear video evidence.

Good call by the league then. Get that garbage off tv as fast as possible. If they didn't give them that 1st down they might be playing until tomorrow.
