Jerry Reed deserved to be a bigger star than he was.

He was the second lead of the highest grossing movie that wasn’t named Star Wars in 77.
Not to mention how many bourbon bowls he won

Jerry Reed was my kind of people. Him talking about that dog that co-starred with him in the Bandit movie was classic Jerry Reed. I wish I could've met him.
I've really tried to learn to play guitar the way that he did, and it helped me learn to do a lot, but nothing like what he could do.
He was a huge influence on a bunch of top-notch country pickers.
Even in his lyrics, he tried to keep things fun and unique. Guys like him, Roger Miller and Joe Diffie don't come around often enough.
