How often do you look at mugshots and tax maps?

In a society that seems to embrace obfuscation, both of these sources of information generally cut through the fog pretty quickly.
Looking at mug shots might reveal certain patterns for your area that otherwise aren’t discussed.
Tax maps can (mostly) fill you in on who really owns what and the moves they made or are making.

I tend to look at the Louisiana sex offender registry maps when deciding where to live.

For that reason, I will never reside in Livingston or Tangipahoa parish.

All the damn time. The trove of information available in Florida is one of the things we do exceptionally well.

I'll use tax maps somewhat frequently. Typically used for work related projects, but will also look at properties near family properties for ideas about purchasing and potential land swaps. I will say tax maps are great tools but I'm glad the general society are not aware of them or how to access.

In Florida it’s amazing how many properties are owned by a trust of some kind. I haven’t looked enough in other states to compare. Tax maps are a great way to snoop on neighbors.

Gwinnett County mugshots is one of my fb go-to's.
Mainly for the comments.
