Nick posted this so I searched. It looks like McCarthy has Chase Haslett as a candidate for his TE coach
quote:

According to reporter Jordan Schultz, the Steelers requested and completed an interview with New Orleans Saints tight ends coach Chase Haslett for a role as their passing game coordinator/tight ends coach.

That would be Tolzien (OC), Jahri (Asst. OL), Haslett (TE) if they’re all finalized

That washed up burnt out coach is starting to get on my nerves. Yes, it’s a compliment to the staff that the Saints have put together and I’m sure we’ll find good replacements, but still poaching three coaches from one team never did like him when he was at Green Bay or Dallas

Kellen Moore was an OC under McCarthy for a few years in Dallas. I wonder if the familiarity with Kellen’s style of offense makes our coaches more appealing

I think so and Chase also coached under McCarthy for 5 years in Dallas

Kellen is of the McCarthy tree, so it makes sense for him to go after his coaches. You should never be upset that anyone is interviewing your assistant coaches. That means you are doing something right.

That Tub of Lard AKA Mike McCarthy, is going to poach this staff because he sees the success they have.

Sources: #Saints QBs coach Scott Tolzien plans to remain in New Orleans after interviewing for the #Steelers OC job.

He was viewed as a top candidate for the job, but will remain with Kellen Moore to continue developing Tyler Shough.

Sources: #Saints TEs coach Chase Haslett — who interviewed for the #Steelers passing game coordinator/TEs coaching position — will also remain in New Orleans.

I’m told it was Haslett’s decision. A fast-rising coach to watch moving forward in upcoming cycles.

Looks like both are staying with the Saints. That's quite the ringing endorsement for Moore and Shough and great to see.

Awesome news. Shuck playing well under them will give them a lot of opportunities later if he keeps progressing

There should be a limit on the number of coaches you can pouch off of one staff.

Things I never thought I'd say, but I'm happy (Coach) Haslett is returning to the Saints.

I would chalk some of this to the Shough-Moore effect. The QB situation here is solidified and points to an exciting future.
If you go to Pittsburgh, you are either working with an old, set in his ways Aaron Rodgers. Plus, Rodgers and McCarthy relationship is combustible if things go south. If Rodgers retires, then you’re working w a young QB w less upside than Shough.
There will be better OC opportunities in the future. Smart to not jump at the first bad opportunity

I never thought I would be saying anytime soon, " Our coaches and QB situation is better than the steelers" lol

Hell yeah that's good news they're staying. Says a lot about the culture inside the building. If those coaches thought it was fool's gold, they'd be gone.

And frick McCarthy - go dig in someone else's closet.

Rodgers was on a 1 year anyway, so he is unlikely to be back (he specifically said he would consider playing for Tomlin again, and the McCarthy hire likely kills any chance he goes back).

Watching Rodgers trying to move in the pocket was painful. Hopefully he and the media will not engage in another six month where's Waldo going yak fest again.

Seems like they just adding a title so they can poach him to be their te coach.

Guess he’s still mad we passed on him last year.
