An Irish man entered the US on a 90 day visa *20 years ago*. He proceeded to stay 19.75 years past the 90 days. Recently a federal judge signed off on a deportation order. Instead of going back to Ireland, he is choosing to sit in a jail cell and have his family complain to media for political kudos.

Overstaying a Visa should be automatic void of any future work permits or other legal authorizations, including citizenship.

It's the first fraudulent step in what will become a lifetime of fraud.

He is attempting to declare asylum, claiming the IRA is targeting his family

Why do people feel they are entitled to blatantly violate a foreign country’s laws?

I don’t feel that way about France or Switzerland or Brazil or Egypt or anywhere, that I can go there and stay as long as I want while disregarding their laws and processes for visitation, residence, etc.

Aren’t people constantly preaching to Americans on being respectful of other countries, their people, their customs, their laws?

How is it they feel our laws and customs should be ignored and disrespected?

I would really like to know the whole story.

CBS version

It seems it would be extremely easy for him to prove he had the status he claims he had.

Why doesn't he apply for permanent residency? He's had 19.75 years to do this.

Hahah a white guy? Sorry bub you have to go to the back of the woke outrage line.

But I thought Trump’s deportations were racist.

How dumb is this bimbo to be married to an illegal.

From the article he describes what it's like in the detention center:

quote:

"You don't know what's going to happen on a day-to-day basis. You don't know if there's going to be riots, you don't know what's going to happen,"

He sounds a bit racist to me.

To be fair, would you want to go back to Ireland and risk running into that wildebeest Rosie O’Donnell?

Here's where I have a problem. They obviously should get punished for breaking the law with prison time and at least 3 yrs removed from the US. If they were an actual productive member instead of a leech I'd let him go through the process but not skipping anyone who is ahead of him in the proverbial line.

A non productive member who was on the govt tit gets to be deported and banned from the US for life with their picture with a biometric scanner and fingerprints on file.

The truth is starting to come out. He isn't dodging the IRA, he's got a warrant out for his arrest for dealing MDMA in Ireland, then skipping his court date:

LINK

quote:

A bench warrant issued in this country in 2009 for the arrest of Irishman Seamus Culleton – who is currently detained at an ICE facility in the US – concerned an incident where he was alleged by gardaí to be in possession of 25 ecstasy tablets.

It is understood that one of the charges on which Mr Culleton failed to appear before New Ross District Court alleges he obstructed gardaí by discarding 25 MDMA tablets from his person as gardaí attempted to search him.
