The driving with brights thread reminded me of this perfect comparison of how bad it has become. One vehicle with normal halogen lights next to a squatted truck with LED'S. This is the problem.

Maybe put your phone down and pay attention to driving safely.

The new lights (OEM only) are way better.

Louisiana roads are shitty to begin with, and poorly-marked as a rule.

The problems are HID conversions, ans idiots in lifted trucks.

Cop lights have gotten extremely ridiculous, though.

They are positively blinding around here! Can't see shite and I honestly think it's more of a hinderance than help.

Thankfully most of the american manufacturers have embraced the xenon HID lights which are superior to halogen for safety.

Although the lights are possibly brighter, the jacked up and leveled trucks are the issue when subsequent adjustments aren't made to the angle of the lights. If you alter your vehicle, change the damn angle on your headlights!

The glare isn't as bad if you clean your windshield. Also helps if you drive an F350.

The LEDs aren’t the problem. The incline and the squatting are the problem.

Crappy halogen bulbs dim over time, and they aren't that bright to begin with.

Newer lighting technology allows you to see better, and the whiter color makes potholes and poor markings ( when they're there) at least visible.

I think this state buys a gallon of yellow paint per year and uses almost all of it.

My truck has some incredibly bright LEDs. It also has automatic leveling of said lights so this isn’t an issue. The problem is people wanting to have these incredibly bright lights in their vehicles that weren’t designed for them.

I seem to notice pretty stock Chevy's with blinding white lights.

Lifting doesn't help for sure.
