Another historical fact about Jesse Jackson that some of you younger folks may not know.
David Duke also ran as a Democrat.
How times have changed.
Jackson ended up a clear second in nationwide delegates to Michael Dukakis, but Dukakis selected for his VP running mate Lloyd Bentsen (of Texas - in an attempt to help secure the 29 Texas electoral votes). George H.W. Bush won Texas 56 to 43 percent and the presidency with 426 electoral votes to 111 for Dukakis.

Cajuns voted for Dukakis because he was swarthy (looked like them) and Eastern Orthodox
Jesse Jackson won all the blacks in the primary

Willie Horton committing murder while on a democrat prison furlough was a major part of the 88 election. Now there’s a Willie Horton every week and people act like it’s normal.

Cubbies and Decatur are saying those murders are the cost of real reform

JJ must've died very bitter
He got death, not breath.
Nope not hope
A demise, not a reprise
An ending, not a mending
An epitaph, not the last laugh

When a man dies
If he is wise
He tries
To realize
The surprise
Of his demise

If he is wise
He tries
To realize
The surprise
Of his demise
