They were always going to leave. They'd bought the old Arlington Park horse track and had plans for a massive multiuse venue.

I feel for the good people (very few) of Chiraq that they are being governed by this idiot. He's literally the dumbest mf'er in office.

Illinois doesn’t want to give them public money, I kind of respect that.

If they actually do go through with moving to Indiana, the City of Chicago and State of Illinois should sue the organization to prevent them from continuing to use the name of Chicago in their branding.

I agree with their desire to leave that hellhole, but they shouldn't be Able to continue to use the name recognition of Chicago if they aren't even in the same state.

And I also agree with the other poster commenting that Gary isn't much better. I live in South Bend and have to pass through Gary to get to Chicago. Gary is a Grade-F shithole itself. It's like all the bad of Chicago with none of the niceties.

I have no issue with them keeping the name Chicago.

I think it is hilarious how Indiana will now have 2 NFL teams and Illinois 0. What a shite dump.

KCMO lost the Chiefs to Kansas because the Democratic Socialists running the city and county couldn't get their shite together. The Chiefs told Jackson County MO and the City of Kansas City MO to pound sand and are building a new stadium in Wyandotte County KS out by the Kansas Speedway.

Indiana will give them a bunch of money to move there. This has nothing to do with Chicago crime.

There is zero “niceties” in Chicago. It’s an all out war zone.

Hell no they don't, that would cut into their skimming stack of cash.

I know Chicago is in a bad way, but Gary, IN isn’t free of bullets.

People in government don’t understand ROI. The returns on having an NFL team and stadium complex are massive. It’s a no-brainer from an investment standpoint.

I wish I had the opportunity to invest in a pro sports franchise and stadium.

The ROI for the Super Dome has been massive for Louisiana. It may have been the single greatest investment in state history.

I have a :csb: about Gary, Indiana

Last year my wife and I were driving cross country on I-80. We were passing through Gary and my wife says, "I'm hungry. Let's stop and get something to eat." I said, I don't want to stop in Gary, Indiana. She asked me why. Just as I was about to explain it to her, we pass a cop car pulled over to the shoulder on I-80. The cop had exited his car and was standing over a young, black teen who was handcuffed and face down on the pavement. On the freaking interstate.

I pointed at that and said, that's why
