When searching his vehicle, employees discovered marijuana in aluminum containers. Collins allegedly told officials that the marijuana was medical grade and prescribed to him. He was booked into jail.
• Latasha Antoine (charged with one count taking contraband to/from a penal institution and one count possession of marijuana first offense, plus an active warrant from Ascension Parish). During a vehicle search at the front gates of the facility, employees discovered marijuana and two-pack cigars, allegedly. The items were seized, per the warrant.
• Meagan Brown (charged with one count taking contraband to/from a penal institution and possession of methamphetamine less than 28 grams). On Feb. 14, Elayn Hunt employees allegedly found contraband during a vehicle search. In the vehicle they’d found a bag containing a “burnt glass pipe and a substance that appeared to be methamphetamine,” per the warrant. Brown allegedly told deputies that her boyfriend had “planted the narcotics in her purse.”
• Shanda Paul (charged with one count taking contraband to/from a penal institution and firearm-free zone). Paul showed up at the facility and spoke to prison guards at the gate. When guards asked her if she had anything that would be considered contraband, Paul allegedly stated that she did not, per the warrant. Guards with dogs checked the vehicle, and a dog alerted on Paul’s purse, which IPSO says contained a Smith and Wesson handgun. She was booked into jail.

Stupid fricks think just because they have medical marijuana they can smoke it and have it whereever they want. Easiest probable cause search on a traffic stop is weed boiling out of the car….but I gots my card.

Yeah, but you're not behind bars for years with no contact with the opposite sex.
Think about the beer goggle phenomenon near closing time when that 3 looks like a 10 and will do for the night------------until you wake up and want to gnaw off your arm so you don't wake her up.
