To Those Asking For Tariff Refunds

Can we also back-bill for Putin’s Price Hike of 2022?
Anyone remember? I sure AF do.
Please remind all of your idiot friends, relatives, etc of this when they ask for tariff refunds.
Bonus points for doing a Putin-Somali daycare tax fraud 1-2 combo move.

I am 100% asking for a refund and you would too in my situation. I'm not banking on it and company will survive, but it would sure be nice to get that money back.

Tell them to also be prepared for a full audit to determine how much tariff they actually paid and how much was passed on to the consumer.
Also, remind them if the penalties for submission of fraudulent documents to the fedgov for payment (fat Pritzker is about to find out).

Would be almost impossible to do but I would gladly do something like this. Considering my company absorbed a big chunk, it would be worth the effort for me.

If you import from China, you may not get shite back. A lot of those tariffs were under Section 301 and are still valid

So your overseas supplier didn’t drop pricing to equal the tariff rate against them prior to your purchase ?

Only about 5%.

India. And only a few items fall under Section 232.

For those thinking they deserve a refund, how much do you expect? That's like the Democrats saying the rich should be taxed more. Well, how much more? What is "rich"?

Did you only have one choice on supplier or supplies ? I asked this as it makes for bad business to be locked into a situation that ties your hands and takes you out of control.

I'll ask for any amount I paid to the US government that was collected illegally according to the Supreme Court. Why would i not?

Just curious, but how much did your company receive in PPP loans?

yes and no. but all other suppliers for these types of products are foreign companies so the tariff situation wouldn't go away. And unless tariffs were 200%-300%, this type of manufacturing ain't coming back here.

So your company goes running to take taxpayer money for free, yet gets upset when they have to pay into the system that they benefited from?
Pretty wild

And if passed on, it's not owed to you.

ok, so i will pay back the $1M and collect the $15M in tariff refunds. works for me.

I would fully support the Trump admin going tit for tat and telling every company applying for a refund that they must pay back their PPP loan first.
You shouldn't benefit from a system that you refuse to support.

Come ON MAN, ain't nobody buying your schtick anymore. You say you work or own a company that you personally paid 15 million in tariffs (7 digits anyway), yet your up until 11 last night and up at 6 this morning posting non-stop on Political Talk? Come on man.
