The Thin Blue Line gang strikes again

This happened five miles from me. London (KY) police department serve a midnight search warrant at a wrong address over a stolen weedeater. One minute after knocking they kick the door in and shoot the homeowner five times.
Of course no bodycams, neighbor’s camera captures part of the incident. Kentucky state police investigate over a year. Special prosecutor, with a history of ethics violations, convinces a grand jury to no bill the officers.
Since Mr Harless is white, no moral outrage from our Governor or the media. Unless the Feds imtervene this will disappear over time. The city will offer piles of cash to prevent a trial and discovery.
Peak level bullshite. But, back the blue, no?

None of this adds up. How does a jury just let the cops off when there is apparently so much evidence against them?
Sounds like the people in that town are pretty messed up. Or there just dumber than dog shite.

Since the proceedings will be sealed, we’ll never know.
Noticed I had two downvotes from the Back the blue jumpers. They’re getting an early start to sucking that boot leather

This is so true.

Beshear has said almost zilch about this. The Attorney General made sure that a compromised prosecutor would convince a GJ to no bill.
It’s really pathetic.

I think because of that incident we should get rid of all law enforcement. That should do the trick.

Fun fact: London is just a stones throw away from Corbin, where Col. Harlan Sanders started his chicken empire.
Ok, back to the outrage…
Ok, back to the outrage…

Yea? Did you read the details or the case or go straight to the thin blue line pearl clutching?
How about starting with accountability?
What a retarded take.

Makes me wonder if there was something going on between the cops and the homeowner, such that the cops wanted him gone. If true, that lines up with what happened with the prosecutor and GJ.

Well don’t say stupid shite like “but back the blue, right”.
If you don’t want to back the blue then let’s get rid of all law enforcement. Society doesn’t seem to need them. Obviously there are frick ups and really bad instances, but don’t paint with such a broad brush. Take it instance by instance.

Beshear commented on it a couple weeks ago.
quote:
At a Team Kentucky news conference, Governor Andy Beshear called the incident tragic saying it seems to have been "preventable or avoidable." Beshear was reserved in his comments given the fact the incident is under investigation by Kentucky State Police. "That investigation needs to be credible, they fall under the Justice Cabinet, which falls under me, so I want to be careful about offering too many comments," Beshear said.
Beshear comments from 2/7/26
That said, Cameron didn’t present all of the evidence to the grand jury on the Breonna Taylor charges either. So unfortunately that’s a trend within the AG’s office and not just a “white thing”.
I’m surprised AG Coleman isn’t pushing this harder. Definitely gives pause as to why he isn’t.

This was over a judges stolen weedeater and this house was the wrong address if I remember the original presentation right. Like around the corner wrong address. One map service put the address at the victims house and a couple others put it at the correct location. That's this one right?

This makes you sound like a fricking idiot. Just FYI. It also makes you sound like you think there is no nuance and the only two choices are either “frick the pigs” or “suck boot leather.”
Anyway, I generally support police and their actions, but not blindly. I’m not watching a 30 minute video, but if the police fricked up and busted someone’s door down and shot them, then they should be charged and prosecuted for that dumb shite. And if anything was covered up, then those should be held responsible too. That’s the kind of shite that gives good police a bad name, and why a lot of people are leery about them.

I see a lot of “good police” staying silent when the bad apples act out.

They determined the Japanese, Vikings, and Aztecs were black
Surely they can find a way that this guy was always black

It was a grand jury that only the prosecutor presents to. Guessing there is a decent chance this DA’s office didn’t want to prosecute a bunch of cops.
