I am not hating on girl's basketball at all.....but does the state of Louisiana really need 10 state champions?

Texas and California each have 6.

Where even is what used to be called The Sweet 16 even played now. Last time my old high school made it, it was in Hammond.

No. The spilt was all because of 1 or 2 teams and a few schools were butthurt. Instead of tightening up rules (or actually enforcing them) schools voted to split.

Texas started having 12 state championship in basketball last year. Softball, baseball, volleyball have 11 as 1A doesn't have enough schools for split playoffs except in basketball.

I had to drive over the Basin Bridge to get here. If that counts.

Midland about to tip vs. East Feliciana

Hey it’s the year 2026 everyone gets a trophy. Some of theses games will be so bad and boring that you can sleep through them. Sorry if that offends anyone but these are the state championships, the games should be competitive not so watered down that no one cares.

Anyone know the child ticket admission policy? Didn't see it listed anywhere in the LHSAA manual or on the ticket page.

Caroline Bradley ripped her jersey in half right after they lost. I got the frustration though cause she was doing some heavy lifting in that game.

She has been heavy lifting for that team for a couple years now.

With that said, that was completely unacceptable.

If the coach from Oak Grove maybe spent sometime on skill development with some of those girls that would definitely be a big help. Sorry but all of them except Bradley can only dribble with one hand. Also if you can drive it and then throw it up to her she would average 40 points. Also some shooters would be nice to stretch the defense for her. Got to put in more work if they want her to go out next year winning state.

But really all they needed to do was not throw it 10 ft over her head so much.
