Like both these picks very much. Germie Bernard was a vacuum in the 4-5 games I watched and very active. Of course I think 3/4ths of this board is more than good with Love

Not terrible, but nothing that sets my heart aflutter.
Depending on who's available, I'd love to see us go elite defender and possibly stowers at tight end.
Draft a few offensive lineman, possibly db, in the mid rounds and hope one hits.
We can probably get a decent back for a couple year deal to carry some of the load until Kamara is really ready to hang it up

Normally I’d agree. Helll I wasn’t even interested in Jeanty but Love is on another level and immediately makes our offense a lot better. I’m in 100% if we take him.

I think there's more value in seeing who they moved up to the other picks after the combine.

Yeah I’ve seen some mocks that fell that way. I hope we get him but I’m not gonna lose any sleep over it. I know if he goes before us someone unexpected is gonna fall in our laps.

if Love is gone to TN, here is what I could see happen in that scenario in this mock. Downs' degenerative knee scares me

Yeah I’m out on downs after that news. I’d imagine a lot of teams are too. At least for their first round pick.

That seems like a very accurate mock. I could see us choosing between Downs and Tate. Guess it depends if Taylor leaves and if we replace him.

I really hope Tate is on the board if that's the case and no shot at Love. He's the best in the class, although I know there are other options later.
In that scenario, we pick between Downs, Bain (please no), Delane and Mauigoa which I don't like as much as Love/Tate.
ETA I guess they were including Bain in the "all 3 pass rushers", which I hope is the case so Tate is there.

Love Bernard in the 2nd. Been on him a while. I like Omar Cooper there as well.
Pat McAfee on his show just now that they talked to multiple league scouts that shot down the Caleb Downs knee issues. Don’t know how true that is tbh. But I’d run to the podium for Downs if the knee issues are a nothing burger

I don’t think Bernard is worth a top 50 pick. He is solid, but not special. Scouting reports that ive read is that he profiles as a 3rd receiver for most teams. We can get a 3rd option type receiver later in the draft

Having Love go to Tennessee is a worst case scenario. I would think about trading down because I am not a fan of Tate. Having Bain, Bailey, Love and Sonny gone by 8 is a disaster. Trade down and draft K.C Concepcion from A&M who I believe will be a stud .

I like Bernard a lot and I think he could be a solid 2 but who knows. I’m also interested in the kid from NDSU Bryce Lance. Uber productive and laid down a 4.34 at the combine. I’m eager to see if the saints have any interest in him and how he does.

Agreed. I want one of the pass rushers but Tate is my fall back option if all are gone.
