Todd Golden. Fastest coach in program history to 190 wins. Won a national championship. We picked McMahon instead of him.At least we got him cheap. NOT.!!!!!

“McMahon is actually better, Golden didn’t lose players like DJ and Reed plus he didn’t have a black cloud of make believe to deal with”

Well at least it’s nice to know what we could’ve had at LSU by just watching Florida.

Yeah, but we came out ahead of them with Jay and Lane so 2 out of 3 isn't bad.

I'll say it again, Woody didn't meet and get to know a coach. He hired paper only. Pelini, BK, CoachMc.

Before you said Coach Jay - he was 3rd choice for Woody. Ms. Mulkey - she basically hired herself.

Scott Woodward was a huge (literally) failure.

With good reason. Compare their two records as they stood in the spring of 2022. McMahon had four conference titles and Golden's best finish was fourth in his conference. This board would have been in total melt mode if Golden was hired over McMahon at that time. Please tell us what in comparison of their records at the time would have made you hire Golden instead of McMahon.

Hindsight is great, but hindsight also includes that McMahon inherited a program facing NCAA probation and an empty roster while Golden inherited a good team from Mike White with no NCAA cloud. McMahon has lost his best two players to season ending injuries the past two seasons while Golden has not lost a significant player.

That’s not a good reason, that’s what an idiot would consider reason. Playing and competing with Gonzaga and St. Mary’s is a lot different than competing with nobody.

First losing season by any Murray State coach in 20+ years.

While we're doing that.

Any coach that wasn’t an LSU legacy would have taken that job over ours thanks to Woodworthless and his self-made “dark cloud hanging over the program” OMG THE ANNOUNCER JUST SAID MORIBUND

Golden was available, but McWoodward sat on his arse and Florida hired him. (A mere week before he picked McHallman)

I can't wait for you to go away next season.

There is no way you're real.

You and the fellow idiot Madking can't refute the truth of what I stated you so resort to attacking me.

So you prefer to not have context of CoachMc's history?

Instead of CoachMc vs Golden, you can also look up who Billy Donovan told UF to hire - and you can look up Murray State MBB prior to CoachMc and understand he was arguably their worst coach in 20+ years.

Even if we concede your point, which I don't, why didn't he finish third? His best finish was fourth only once in three years. They got hot in their conference tournament or he would have had no NCAA appearances.

You want context? McMahon inherited a program facing NCAA probation and an empty roster while Golden inherited a good team from Mike White with no NCAA cloud. McMahon has lost his best two players to season ending injuries the past two seasons while Golden has not lost a significant player.

And every one of those teams is better than anyone in the OVC. 100% fact you wouldn’t claim Wade had a better resume than Golden coming from Mcneese and Chattanooga only and you’d be correct so this is just more intentional idiocy and double standards.

Context for sure. But, it's okay. Enjoy it.
