Shutdown East bound. I’m .01 miles from the asshats who can’t drive. Never using this route again. 190 from now on
Another wreck W bound directly across from E Bound wreck wtf
ETA: just got home after a six hour ride from Laffy to BR :) Yea frickk 18 wheelers. They should be banned from the WB bridge and only allowed to use the right lane on the interstate.

Damn. Pretty rare for it to be closed in both directions when it's not a hurricane.

They could drop the speed limit to 35 mph and these idiots would still find a way to cause an accident.

Seems like a very rare occurrence.

Heavy fog or 2 ft of rain in that area?

I’ve never understood it. It’s like people get a couple miles in and lose all faculties. Driving straight for miles is apparently too much to ask of some peoples abilities.

I’ve reached a part in life where there is nothing in Baton Rouge worth dealing with the Basin and MS River bridges for.

Well of course. You have to slam on your brakes and rubberneck at the clusterfrick on the other side.

I got backed up for 30 minutes on Saturday heading east because of rubberneckers looking at the wreck on the westbound side.

If I'm coming up on a wreck that isn't close to us and the person in front of me hits their brakes, I'm laying on the horn.

Been in it the whole time heading west. Seen three fire trucks headed west on east bound and multiple ambulance. No air med so I guess that’s a plus. I guess there’s a wreck going west bound too? We haven’t moved either for about 2 hours

Until they ban semis from using the bridge nothing will change. They should force semis to use 190. That would cut down on usage through BR as many carriers would just avoid I-10 altogether.

If only that section of road were completely straight with a designated lane the truckers are allowed to be in.
