Like the restaurant but that thin cut catfish is terrible

Been going to Middendorf’s for over 50 years. I used to love their thin fried catfish until last time I went. No more. Too thin mostly batter. Next time I’ll try their regular catfish. Good soft shelled crabs and old fashions too.

Why does everyone complain about the thin-fried catfish when you can just order the not thin-fried catfish

Thin or regular their fish is very average.

I hope this restaurant does well, but I really don’t think it will unfortunately. There is something kind of adventurous and nostalgic about going to the original Middendorf’s at its original location. You won’t have any of that at the new location.
