I got some ivy that I want to get rid off growing around a stump. What’s the best spray poison to get rid of it? I want to plant some flowers in its place.

I would try some brush killer (Triclopyr) but be careful with it don’t go spraying it all over. Get a small paintbrush and paint the leaves of the ivy with uncut herbicide. And try not to do it before a rain

you don’t want to get it in the soil it has a month long half life which is plenty long enough to kill your tree

Agree with triclopyr. If you trim them some you can also paint where you cut them.

yes and you can take the cut stems and soak them in herbicide. Most important is to not let that shite get into the soil, or there will be no flowers for a good long while

I stuck the cut end of a massive trumpet vine into a bucket of triclopyr and it killed that fricker in a week
