Looks like a midland water snake - a subspecies of Northern water snake.

What kind of water snake grows the largest in the southeast? There's a giant one in our neighborhood pond, I can never get close enough to get a pic, but when it swims it looks like an anaconda. It hunts goslings.

Probably a diamondback water snake. They get pretty big and as thick as your arm. Plain-bellied water snakes get pretty long but not as thick as diamondbacks.
