Stumbled upon this last night. Has every score from that year. Told my buddy 2009 was the only season where I remember where I was for each game. Truly special.

Yes, most fans still think 2009 was recent...

It's crazy what 1 super bowl can do for a fan base.

Depends on how long one has been watching. Me since 1967. So yes. It seems recent lol

Im glad I was alive for that run. The Dome was electric every game! Alot of Saints fans never got to see them win it all.

The thing that stood out to me that I forgot was how valuable Robert Meachem was to that team in '09. Besides the obvious incredible strip and TD against the Redskins, he was tied for most reception TDs with Colston at 9 TDS. Shockey and Bush were next at 3 TDs a piece. Henderson only had 2 TDs that year (the wide open TD against the Patriots I will never forget).

Meachem finished the year with 45 receptions for 722 yards and 9 TDs. Last I heard, he was the WR coach for De La Salle in New Orleans. Not sure if he's still coaching there.

I describe that offense as poetry in motion not just a scheme. The way it hummed was effortless and a thing of beauty,

The amount of defensive TDs we scored that year was insane
