We could have nationwide voter ID, the great healthcare plan, an economy ready to take off like a rocket ship with inflation down to 2.4% in Jan and gas prices down to a $2.81 average. America’s 250th birthday this summer while we host the World Cup. We could focus on fraud and reduce our deficit-to-GDP because we wouldn’t need a trillion dollar plus pentagon budget. We’d still have the successes of Venezuela and Midnight Hammer to show the world we are to be taken seriously again.

But no, the GOP is spineless and Israel coerced us into another conflict in the Middle East. Such is life.

But that would mean they wouldn't lose the House in November. How are they supposed to work on the DC social scene, their investments, and their reelections if they have to actually govern?

As if!

And then you would have all the terrible things the Dems would push through once that take office at some point. Protecting the filibuster is one of the few smart things congress has done lately. You need to have the intellectual and emotional maturity of a petulant 4 year old to be pro nuking the filibuster.

makes one wonder, given the size and variety of the internet, why you are here?

I will tell you why I am here - pointing out stupidity is what I consider recreation.

The reasoning skills of the left and the TDS-afflicted remind me of those of GED students. I have to be polite to GED students.

If the people vote for a Dem controlled House, Senate, and White House, then it’s the will of the people and we deserve the consequences. The Founders never wrote a 60 vote threshold into the Constitution, what do you have to say about their intellectual maturity?

My advice - stop being so scared about the what ifs. If a policy is passed and it’s super unpopular, you can vote in a new Congress to repeal it.

Voter ID would destroy elections for the foreseeable future.

GOP needs competition. Voter ID destroys the competition. No competition, no endless campaign fundraising, family grifting, etc etc etc.

GOP is in on it too.

They are serious people. It’s all political theater. WWE style to keep us fighting amongst each other while the politicians and elite milk the country into bankruptcy. All from right under our nose.

So we can get rid of the 20+ million illegals?

That easy huh?

This is the truth.. GOP inaction and weakness screwed us. Israel does what Israel does. Mid-terms would always be tough, but now? Yikes.

For 18 months perhaps. But without the filibuster, the Democrats will undo everything beginning January 20, 2029, and the programs they enact to replace them will not be good for the country.

The Dems will do that anyways if they can. They have already tried. You have to be as ignorant as a petulant 4 year old to not be aware of that.

We don’t need Congress to deport illlegals. The laws already exist - it’s a matter of will and Trump showed he doesn’t have the will to mass deport after how he handled Minneapolis.

People will prolly downvote me, but I believe this is why Trump focuses on foreign affairs. Between liberal judges and the feckless GOP, he isn't able to actually move anything along in the States. It's easier for him to change things elsewhere.

Many of the GOP are actively working to hamstring him. OP’s hypothetical post was premised on the RINOs supporting him, which they’ve shown no inclination to do.
