The news about Nuss’s (finally) correct diagnosis is sad for him for his last season as a Tiger but ended up being great for LSU.

Lane Train full speed ahead!

Brad Davis and Joe Sloan did a lot more damage to 2025 than the cyst did

So Ruffino was right. He wasnt injured and its just a pain tolerance thing.

Crazy how this board crucified anyone who said he wasnt injured.

yea sorry I don't buy that they FINALLY found this. LSU sports medicine has more impressive staff/facilities than some NFL teams. I think they knew..I think they then burried it

This is a terrible take. Blake crucified Nuss. This is not just a “pain tolerance thing.”

Why would a top notch medical staff bury it when a 2 week recovery is all that was needed?

Maybe the cyst developed recently. Initially it was an injury

No, its not.

Yes, it is.

Yall can downvote away, but these cysts cause pain. He was not INJURED. There was no INJURY. He has cysts, which cause pain.

It's a pain tolerance issue; HE WAS NOT HURT.

Do you have any idea what one of the causes of cysts are? Injuries.

The cyst was pressing on a nerve, causing discomfort in Nussmeier’s oblique. He has been asymptomatic since just prior to the Senior Bowl and all throughout the draft process

It’s a symptomatic thing. Symptoms caused pain

Y’all trying to play a game about semantics to prove somebody is wrong or right

I think what you're saying is stupid, but I'll play along. So it was just a pain tolerance thing. Does that mean the cause of his ineffective play wasn't the result of not working all of offseason as Ruffino and other youtube show losers reported?

Seems like you’re trying to downplay the significance of Nussmeier’s condition. Maybe I’m wrong….
I can tell you this from firsthand experience ……nerve pain is crippling and there is very little that you can do to treat it effectively.

How come LSU's medical team didn't see a cyst on a spine?

It wouldn’t be the medical staff that buried it. I think it’s a potentially huge issue for a player and his head coach to share the same agent.

One theory I have is that Nuss NIL deal was contingent on him starting...his camp was reportedly pissed when MVB was put in. Maybe he was worried about the absence affecting some of his contracts... maybe further worried about MVB outshining him in that time and dealing w a controversy... maybe they made the right threats to BK? who knows.

The above sounds outlandish but I promise you not more outlandish than LSU sports science missing something like this.

Play along with what? Was he injured as everyone here tried to say? What about when Nuss was asked himself if he was injured and he said no?

So once again, was it an injury? NO. It was a pain tolerance issue that Nuss couldn't stand.

Just like we saw from him throughout his career, if he was touched, he acted as if he was just run over by a semi. I'll never forget 2024 when Nuss was sacked and taken out for a play, holding his shoulder like he was just shot. The very next Nuss offensive drive, he runs for 12 yards and does a full on LEAP to get a first down, landing on the shoulder with his full weight that he just "injured" and got up with 0 reaction.
