Why the credit and insurance systems PISS ME OFF

Note that I have an excellent driving record, no claims and have a history of NOT SUING and or PUSHING FOR CLAIMS when many, many others I know do.
My credit sucks because I have a terribly ill child and that has wreaked havoc on my employment / business.
I pay $1,800 a month for medical insurance, still get hit with collections out the wazzu because insurance companies routinely DENY the claims for made up bullshite reasons and the clinics/doctors just send the bills to collection agencies.
The world fricking sucks, but what you gonna do about it?

Thanks Russian. He's a dialysis patient, so he gets good care here at home.
Another thing that PISSES ME OFF.
My wife and I perform ALL of his dialysis functions at home. He goes to the hospital once a month for a clinic visit - maybe a 4-5 hour appointment.
The hospital gets to bill $8-$9k PER MONTH for dialysis care.
We don't get to bill shite even though we perform 4 - 5 hours of clinical support for him every day.
We do all the care.
We are 1 foot in bankruptcy and 1 foot out. I refuse to file.
We are BROKE, but love our kid. Everybody seems to get paid but us.
Go fricking figure.

my main problem with insurance is that you pay, then when it times for them to pay they come up with a reason.
And the credit rating shite is absurd. Why you have to spend any portion of your life worrying about that is fricking absurd. i used to work for a credit card company, and the shennigans they pulled were ridiculous. They wanted to impair your credit so they could raise your rates. And keep you locked in with them.

frick the system. File.
It's not the end of the world and you may be able to get a completely fresh start. I admire you for not wanting to file, but do what you have to do in order to keep providing for you and your family.

VICAR: It's about this letter you sent me regarding my insurance claim.
DEVIOUS: Well yeah, it's just that we're not as of yet, totally satisfied with the grounds of your claim.
VICAR: But it says something about filling my mouth in with cement.
DEVIOUS: That's just legal jargon you know.
VICAR: But my car hit by a lorry standing in the garage and you refuse to pay my claim.
DEVIOUS: Well, Reverend Morrison in your policy… (Gets up and starts rooting through a filing cabinet. Finds papers in a coat in the cabinet)… in your policy. Its states quite clearly that no claim you make will be paid.
VICAR: Oh dear.
DEVIOUS: You plucked for our 'never pay policy' which, uhh, which if you never claim is very worthwhile but you uh had to claim and there it is.
VICAR: Oh, dear.
DEVIOUS: It could be worse. How's the nude lady?
VICAR: Oh, she's fine (cries).
DEVIOUS: Oh, I hate to see a man cry. So, shove off, out of the office now.

Meauxjeaux, I feel for you. I know its tough first hand. Just love your kid and do your best to meet your expenses. Nobody can ask for more than that from you.

Great skit, but the whole "The Bishop" followup is just awful.

Thanks for the support all. We'll get through this tough time - have before and will this time.
As for a BK filing, unless I'm forced into it, I just can't fathom pulling the trigger on it.
Hey I made my debts, I'll pay them. My business does have the capacity to pay them if it can get rolling well.
I usually stay very positive and aggressive in my thought position about where I'm at. I long ago came to a comfort level with the fact that, given a chronic family illness, you just get hosed on many, many things.
It's not even close to "fair" but what in life is?
I admit to my moments when all the minutiae piles up and I lose it in a bout of selfish pity. Then God sets me straight and I'm rolling again.
If you all only knew the hurdles He's pulling me through you'd all convert!

I'm terribly sorry for your situation. What type of business do you have? I ask because maybe we can start sending business your way, unless it has nothing to do with me.
On a side note you could always move your family to Europe and get your healthcare for free. Whether you take that as a joke or not, still probably a good idea.

I do residential and commercial construction. I focus on jobs from $20k - $300k.
That's why I stated that the business has the capacity to pull out of our current situation - as it gets some financial feet under it, there is work out there. Right now I have to cash flow jobs without lines of credit, which really limits the jobs I can take.
And on the healthcare thing - I don't mind at all paying. I'm 6 hours away from THE BEST CARE in the world, hands down. $1,800.00 a month for the care we get is almost stealing.

In 100% honesty, and I have never been so serious on TD.COM in my years here, my kid would be dead if we lived anywhere other than here in the US.
That includes care he got in post-Katrina New Orleans Children's Hospital, as bad as that place was at the time.
BTW, thanks all for the words of encouragement.
