I really liked it when I saw it 4 or 5 years ago. I've been really impressed with Nolan's other films, especially The Prestige and his debut, Following. Guy Pearce is a very underrated actor as well.

Following is awesome neo-noir. Memento cool but a little gimmicky.

Perhaps gimmicky but I give it points for creativity. Can be a tough watch for some maybe. Better upon repeats. There's supposed to be a secret access on the DVD to watch it in forward order. Anyone ever done that? Where is the access?

Yes. Just Google "Memento DVD Easter Egg" and you'll find the instructions.

I liked Memento more than Following.

This is a movie where plot holes don't bother me in the least. This was a very creative idea.

I do have a tough time watching it now because I just can't stand Joe Pantoliano. He did such a great job playing a total psycho douche on the Sopranos that I now hate Joe.

First movie I saw by Nolan. I loved it. I then rented Following and loved it. The rest is history.

Watch Following. It's really great, too.

I'm glad everyone else here likes it. Whenever I tell someone about it, they look at me blankly.

I thought it was unique and original. I'll admit it confused the shite out of me the first time I watched it, and I am still not certain I ever put it all straight in my head.

I love the part where he is running and he sees this guy running one row over and he is like "Okay, I'm running. I must be chasing this guy." BANG "Nope, he's chasing me."

can see the use in a class-

Many medical experts have cited Memento as one of the most realistic and accurate depictions of anterograde amnesia in any motion picture. Caltech neuroscientist Christof Koch called Memento "the most accurate portrayal of the different memory systems in the popular media,"[47] while physician Esther M. Sternberg, Director of the Integrative Neural Immune Program at the National Institute of Mental Health identified the film as "close to a perfect exploration of the neurobiology of memory."[48] Writing in the journal Science, Sternberg concludes: "This thought-provoking thriller is the kind of movie that keeps reverberating in the viewer's mind, and each iteration makes one examine preconceived notions in a different light. Memento is a movie for anyone interested in the workings of memory and, indeed, in what it is that makes our own reality."[49]
