I'm 30 years old....so I'd say her generation is any actress between 18-35 right now.

Think about it, she's already won:

an Oscar (The Piano)
a Golden Globe (True Blood)
Several major stage acting awards
Appeared in the blockbuster X-Men trilogy

Who else could compete with her?

Paquin's horrific accent on True Blood eliminates her from this discussion. Kirsten Dunst is better imo.

I find Dunst hugely annoying.

Not until she fixes that ridiculous gap between her two front teeth

I feel the same about Paquin honestly. Dunst in Interview with the Vampire

Dunst has had her moments, but she usually doesn't impress me.

Did I mention I find her annoying?

That's intentional though. The over-the-top accents are part of the charm of the show, IMO.

I like the show, but she is terrible on True Blood. Not necessarily her fault as some of her dialog is embarrassing.

I haven't seen anything from her to put her in my top 50 actresses let alone top. And no before you ask, i do not really have a top 50 list.

Kate Winslet and Natalie Portman are better. Portman is good at times because she is smart, Winslet just has natural talent.

Compare performances of Winslet's from Eternal Sunshine to finding Neverland to the Reader to Revolutionary Road. Winslet may be the most versatile actress in a long, long time.

And as far as older actresses go, Meryl Streep seems to get even better with age. Her performance in Doubt was insane.

If anyone between 18-35 counts, I gotta go with Winslet as well.

Agree completely w/ this. She's the worst on that show. Winslet wins this in a landslide.

You sure Swank shouldn't be in best Male Category?
