Looking for some clarification from someone with a better memory than myself. How many times has ESPN gameday been to LSU since 2002, and how many times has LSU appeared in gameday in away games since 2002?

I would say about 7 times since that time with possibly 2 of them on the road.

I'll try:

'03 - vs UGA
'04 - vs Oregon State
'05 - at Bama
'06 - none, I believe (and thats odd)
'07 - vs VT, vs Florida (or maybe not)
'08 - at Auburn

just guess

I never understood most LSU fans fascination with some dumb cable TV show coming to Baton Rouge. I know people who are literally on the edge of their seat every week it may come here. I have no desire to go look at the back of some guys heads who know no more than any other knowledgable sports fan while they show highlights of UCONN and BYU games on a big screen.

They were coming to the Tennessee game in 2005 until it was pushed back until Monday because of Rita.

I think a hurricane also prevented them from being at Auburn in 2004

College Gameday Locations per wikipedia
in Baton Rouge:
1996 Alabama
1997 Florida
2003 Georgia
2004 Oregon State
2007 Virginia Tech
2007 Florida
2008 Alabama

Away Games:
2005 Alabama
2006 Florida
2008 Auburn

Also we were supposed to have Gameday in 2001 against Auburn but hurricane Ivan changed that and also again in 2005 against Tennessee but Katrina/Rita changed that

It was only Rita's fault.

I didn't use Wikipedia. Boom. Get out of my 30 post house.

I only went twice to check them out but it is cool. A few voters watch that shite and it may have helped during our title years IMHO.

I've gone out there for it once (LSU/VA Tech 2007). It's fun to say "hey I've been out there for Gameday before" but I'm certainly not going to bust arse to get out there every time they make it to an LSU game. The environment is great and there's lots of energy in the crowd.

Wasn't that game moved because of the September 11th attacks?

Virginia Tech gameday was awesome. Didn't plan on attending just happen to ride by campus that morning and noticed the crowd. If you recall that was a late kickoff game so it made for a very long Saturday that was rewarded with a blowout win.
