Take him to where a bunch of drunk lsu students are tailgating and make sure he wears a Vandy T-shirt.

Don't take him in the stadium. He will not get a true representation of what it's like to see a night game. There will be plenty of empty seats due to the weather and the game being on TV.

Just bring him around campus to see the sites and see how vast LSU tailgating is. Maybe take him to Chimes or Walkons to eat. Watch the band come down the hill and make sure he is in the stadium to hear pregame.

yea i wish the weather were going to be better for his first time down but I guess we'll just have to make the best of it.

A Michigan hat would get him attention, though perhaps not the good kind.
Be sure y'all hit several tailgates. Just go up and make conversation, 98% of LSU fans will welcome y'all with beer and food.
If you're staying in town a little longer, have some good Louisiana food at Boutin's or Prejeans. Also, the capitol is nice.

True. He will get a better reception in Vandy gear than he would Meechigan. But if he is going to be rooting for LSU, dress him up.

Agreed. At the VT game a couple of years ago, someone brought an out of state buddy who enjoyed the atmosphere but didn't have a dog in the fight. After a day tailgating with us Tiger faithful, however, he was on board to root for the Tigers. Downside? No ticket and he was wearing a solid blue t-shirt. My husband ran to the car and got him an old LSU shirt (always have extras in case of gumbo emergency) and found a hawker on the street to sell him a ticket for face. Another one converted.
Lesson: put them in P&G and they'll learn to love it.

Definitely The Chimes for lunch and drinks. Great atmosphere. Then walk around campus to see all the tailgating. Also a nice place to relax and drink and watch afternoon games is Northgate Tavern on chimes street.

Have him use a port-o-let, then tip it while he is in there
