He's averaging over 5 yrd/per

It only makes sense for him to carry it in the redzone

To our homerun hitter:

if he isn't a HR hitter, he's one hell of a runner with that average

keep giving him carries, he only has one bad play this season and that was when he was at WR

If he had to carry 15-20 times a game, he wouldn't be as effective.

Hitting a "homerun" consists of actually scoring. How many TDs does Shepard have again??

GTFO, it's just the same as ignoring the fact a quarter back is 1/1 and just riding the 100%, it's pretty much common sense that a player cannot sustain that kind of average if he's getting a good load of carries, if you do think he can, then you are a fricking idiot.

when you have 2 carries in the redzone, its kinda tough to score...how many carries to Scott have this season in the redzone before he scored?

I was just trying to start a positive thread about Shep...not start shite, but I think Shep gets carries b/c he IS a HR hitter and he presents that threat while when he doesn't get 20+ he still rips off 5+

getting carries and scoring in the redzone is not what I would call hitting "homeruns". If you want to see a real "homerun hitter", see Noel Devine. He has like 7 runs this year alone of 70 yds or more....

I don't think he is there yet, but I think he is very close. He is easily one of my favorite players. The sky is the limit with this kid

He's not a HR hitter, he's more a long single type hitter, just a breath of air for the offense to get some yardage quick and jumpstart a drive. Don't get me wrong, he's a very talented player, but at the current moment, he's not set-up to be a huge contribution to this offense, what he's been doing is great and it's a great start to hopefully a great career.

it is...and until he makes bad plays which he does NOT do, keep giving him the ball

IMHO, it is better to give carries to RS than Holliday, because he really is a threat to take it the distance. He had one run in the first half that just needed one more move to get into the open free and clear. We need more variety in his package. The coaches added a little bit more today. It just needs to get a little more creative. I would love to see RS run the option with JJ as the pitch man just to shake things up a little.

I agree...I really thought he was gonna break that one run in the first half...It's only a matter of time

He's had more carries in every game than Shep has had on the year combined. Shep will be amazing when they actually let him do something besides run every time he's in. You have to show the defense something different.
