1. We are a 9-3 team (both good and bad...) those are the facts

2. We were a couple of drives/plays from being 10-1 or 7-5. Both were just as likely

3. JJ had an ok season and finally looked comfortable in the offense in the last game (really the 2nd half of the last game)

4. Something needs to change on the O. Period.

5. Defensive scheme is solid, but man do we need to learn how to tackle

6. The SEC this year was "down". Even FL and Bama played up and down this year

7. The SEC goes Bama/FL........everyone else. We got lucky to be the third best team.

8. We needed the win tonight... It wasn't pretty but this will help us in off-season

9. Next year in the SEC is going to be crazy... Looking around most teams are going to get better (ironically, FL may go down the most with Tebow and their D going)

10. Geaux Tigers!!!

And a bowl win make it 10-3 A two game improvement from last year. Not much to argue there.

Les won't do anything about it. WATCH.

But losing to Ole Miss was a terrible loss. Look at how they played yesterday.

Im not really sure if the SEC is down. The SEC seems pretty good this year relative to other BCS conferences. You would then have to say all the other conferences are down. Which would mean the mid majors are up. This might be true but really i dont think its much different than usual. One team having a good or bad season can pretty much change the perception of a conference.

I think the tackling issue has a lot more to do with conditioning. I've noticed that SOMEBODY taught our players how to wrap up this year. For several years, LSU's defenders (esp. @ CB and S) would try to knock a guy down by laying a hit and not wrapping up. That has changed this year. However, in the late 3rd and 4th quarters, LSU has had trouble tackling by ANY method, and I think this is due to conditioning.

The D is good enough even though ARK and OM were not their best.

We have to get our Off production up to at least 325 yrds per game to have a chance at the SEC.

If our Off was on the field longer, I think the def stats would also inprove.

Yeah, looks like maybe one of those years where the SEC champ may have 2 or even 3 SEC losses. It will be interesting to see who steps up.

Very different. Crowton will be here next year. After that who knows. He was brought in by LES and will give him another shot. to save some face.

We were getting sacks rushing only 3 in the first half.

In the 2nd half, we couldn't get to the QB even blitzing! The players need better conditioning and a rotation to prevent gassing.

The tackling has been abysmal. It cost us big the entire year. Better a non-heralded player that can tackle than a blue chipper that can't.

I'm not convinced JJ can bring us to the next level. His accuracy is poor, his judgment is poor, and he doesn't know when to use touch on the ball. He has 1 pitch, the fastball. That alone has cost us dearly every game. Some of these problems may be correctable, but the odds are against it.

Here's my $.02.

1) I am proud of the players for always giving their best effort. Last year, it was obvious some of the guys on the team mailed it in after the UGA game. This year, they played hard till the end.

2) 9-3 is indeed better than last year, and going to a New Year's Day bowl is a terrific reward for such a tough season.

3) The offense needs an overhaul, and I'm disappointed that neither QB over the last two years has shown any sign of improvement throughout the season. Lee was horrible in his one start against a terrible team. JJ is still looking at only one receiver and taking sacks that he shouldn't take. JJ's throwing motion needs major work, too. He's got the windup of a pitcher in baseball.

4) Both lines need to improve greatly. The D-line actually showed some signs of life v. Arky, but we'll need far greater production from them in the pass game next year. Chavis' scheme works much better (as all do) when there is consistent pressure from the front four.

That said, I'm happy for the team to close out the season in such a dramatic fashion.

Again, 9-3 is far better than 7-5, and we have a chance to get 10 wins with a bowl win. My money's on Les and boys to do it.

Don't know for sure how much JJ will improve, but he's a 19 year old kid with talent who just finished his first complete season. Give hime a chance.

I think most of the national media give JJ more credit than Tiger fans do. For a sophomore, he has done a very good job and will be the SEC's second best quarterback next year.

I think it's more being on the field so much do to a lack of offense than conditioning.
