For years I've seen LSU smash fireball pitchers. I'll take those guys all day.

Just don't give us a soft throwing lefty.

How does Tennessee have 3 pitchers that throw in the mid 90s and a ton of losses is the better question.

LSU's recruits get drafted too high and never make it to campus.

I'd rather have a guy who consistently throws strikes and lets his defense back him up rather than a let me try and throw it by everyone type of guy. prime example is Greg Maddux dude never touched 90 but he knew how to pitch

Control and movement is the key when throwing in the 90's - if you throw a straight ball there are hitters (even high school level) that can get around on a 90 mph fast ball - once the timing is there.

Probably have a better coach who can recruit. Wish he was our coach so we could have 3 hard throwing pitchers.

Wow. A) Velocity isn't everything when talking about pitching. I'd focus more on the fact that we have BETTER pitchers than they do and leave it at that. B) It isn't as though we have a team full of soft throwers. We have Ranaudo, Mormann, Matulis, Bourgeois, and Ross who can all get into the 90s.

This. At this level, college hitters can hit 90 mph fastballs. The toughest pitchers are those who can hit their spots and throw multiple pitches for strikes.

Because we suck at recruiting and the Tennessee baseball program is one of the elite college baseball programs in the country. That's why they get all the best players and we have to settle for what is left over.
