Harwich - Mahtook, Nola, Ott
Brewster - Matulis
Hyannis - Bourgeois
Yarmouth-Dennis - Hanover

I'll update the thread as I find everyone else. We have a few guys in the Prospect League, the Valley League, and the Coastal Plains League but I don't feel like looking through everything right now.

if there is one good thing about getting out of the tourney early, it's that they can get out there faster and get more playing time. last year, some of them, like Gibbs, lost starting spots early because they didn't get to their leagues until a few games into the season.

i mean, i'm sure they would rather another NC, but it's just a bright spot.

thanks for the update

Mahtook, Nola and Ott are trying out for USA baseball. That team isn't selected until mid-July, so they won't make it to Cape Cod.

Ranaudo will throw a little in Cape too, if he does well enough he will get mroe money.

Gausman is being watched closely in his summer league as well, depending on how he throws will determine how much money he gets as well.

correct...mainieri said ott would not play for the USA team so he gets sufficient amount of pitching in cape cod. Good idea IMO, let him get the work he needs to be ready for the '11 season.

I would definitely think that lsu doesn't pay.

I would think the league pays for the bulk of expenses through outside funding sources (MLB, family foundations) and through ticket sales. It seems that they provide housing through host families. Most leagues that I can find are designed to be nonprofit.

I would think the player would provide money for any misc expenses.

Eta: it also seems that most leagues provide players with employment opportunities as well so they earn money while they are there.
Not sure though. I don't have a great deal of experience with this.

from what i've understood, mainieri helps put them in these leagues, then the leagues pay for the vast majority of everything. the players are put up with host families. i'm almost positive that LSU doesn't put forward any money for them to go.

That is true. Leagues help out and pay for most things. Host families take players in and feed them like they are thier own child. Transportation to and from the park is done by host "parents".

Players usually bring spending money for misc stuff.

And also one former Tiger...

ya boy Kyle Koeneman is playing for the local team near my hometown with the Amsterdam Mohawks ... the same team Alsup played for in '08.

hopefully bourgeois, and matulis can improve, bourgeois working on the hitting the strike zone and matulis with a faster delivery with runners on

I thought about putting Koeneman on the list, but since he bounced out, I left him off.
