LSU has lost to UAB.....
Boise may nit be able to compete year round in the sec, but they definitely "can" beat any team on any given night.

They're better than at least 10 SEC teams. They can beat any SEC team.

In a one game scenario I think they could beat any SEC team,. but I do not at all believe they could beat any 3 SEC teams 3 weeks in a row.

The listening comprehension skills of people here are not very good...
Here is actually what occurred:
Tony made a point that if Boise State makes it past Va Tech, they are probably home free and could make it to the BCS title game...nothing real new there.
Wilbon countered by going off on some tirade about the only people having a problem with Boise State going so far is the SEC, who is "jealous" of the little guy having a chance to make it that far. Not a horrible point there, I guess, but where he really looked bad was when he started rattling off SEC non-conference schedules and talking about how no SEC teams go on the road in the non-conference. He made a big deal about Boise State going away from home to take on one of the big boys in VA Tech, while SEC teams don't do that. Tony tried to slow him down by pointing out that Boise State's conference is basically garbage and that Va Tech might be their last real challenge all year, but Wilbon kept going about how the SEC plays weak non-league games for the most part. That point is utter GARBAGE because it is common knowledge, inside and outside the SEC, that the league schedule is so brutal that it would be suicide for an SEC team to play a hard non league schedule.
At no point did Wilbon say "Boise can beat any SEC team". Not sure where the OP got this.

Give them a month to prepare for someone in a bowl game and they would have a solid shot at it. Ofcourse its all smoke and mirrors, but they are damn good at it. Now line them up week in and week out and they wouldnt be .500 in league play, but a couple of weeks to prepare and its a possibility

I like the comment, but I don't agree with it. Boise is decent enough to beat a mid-level SEC school.

disagree...they wouldn't beat UF or Bama but I could see them quite easily being 5-3 to 6-2 depending on schedule. They are getting their fair share of athletes now and execute very well.

so you do not believe at all that boise couldn't beat vandy, kentucky, and miss state?
