I would rather beat a Stanford or Wisky or Ohio State than go against the other two. I just don't see what it proves beating TCU or Boise.

I would much rather beat a team of the same caliper as us.

Boise pisses me off. I am starting to hate them. Thus, I want us to play them and beat them.

We'll only play a team of the same caliper if we get in a pinch.

It proves Boise and TCU don't belong. Somebody needs to put a thorough arse whipping on these teams so there stops being any kind of discussion. Are they good teams? Yes, I think they are. But you put them in the SEC or other big conference where every game but 1 maybe 2, isn't a cake walk and they're not going through their season without getting players injured and having to adapt. And they're not making it through with no losses.

If it were a regular season game I would agree. However, in the post season, you get paid the same whether you win or lose AND you don't have to depend on that team's schedule to help bump you in the polls.

I would love to get the chance to send either of those teams home with a huge loss in a bowl game.

You would feel better about THIS more than beating a MUCH better team [say a wisconsin]????

Just because of this:

It proves Boise and TCU don't belong.

5 years down the road it may not seem like a big win, but it proves that they need to play through a real conference before trying to get into the NCG.

I don't disagree with this. But from a program standpoint I would rather beat a better team than these guys. I just don't see the advantadge for LSU to beat them up. Let someone else do it.

For better or worse, they are perceived to be better than any of the other teams you've mentioned.

I think the reasoning behind it is to shut the media up and prove neither of those teams are worth a shite.

Beating Wisconsin will help recruiting more than beating a BOISE IMO. Plus aftr the last two years LES has been through, beating a VERY good top 7 team would be better than beating a team WE ALL know doesn't belong UP THERE.
