I've heard people here say that it's the best burger in Lafayette, so I gave it a try today. Not bad. I got the gourmet cheeseburger dressed, which had some nice heat to it. My only knock on the burger was that it was cooked well done, which I don't care for. After I finished I asked if I could order it medium rare or medium next time and I was told no, which probably means I won't be back. Shame, because I liked the bun.

a lot of places that don't grind their own meat to order will only serve hamburgers well-done in order to avoid any liability issues.

I always enjoyed the burger there, the chili dog is pretty good also. My wife loves the cheesecake, everytime I pass through she makes me stop and get her a mini one.

I think they quit doing the dogs.
I like southsides burger. I saw last time that they started doing fries so that kicks them up a notch.

Truth. The cooked to grey patty between the bun has the taste and texture of a Michelin.
