Drew really seemed to not want to leave the pocket this year, and would rather take a sack than run. Is it just me, or did anyone else notice? Seattle? Really?!?! No, really????

Why are you sad and mad at us at the same time? Guess you knew we'd think you were an idiot

Is picking up a first down in a regular season game worth losing your QB for a few weeks?? Especially when that QB is Drew Brees and has a sprained MCL.

Drew has like 100 yards rushing in 5 years in NO. This isn't unique to this past year nor is it always a bad thing

more interceptions than touchdowns for the year speaks volumes, and I agree running is not always a good thing, but there were some obvious deficiencies in the offense this year from the qb forward. I respect every thing drew is and has brought to the team, but he is not the same player as he was last year.

A lot of what you say is true. Drew obvious was a little off especially compared to last year.

Your general observations that Drew needs to play better though is not the same as your origianl observation that "Drew really seemed to not want to leave the pocket this year" Dont go back and try to change the subject bc you were called out on the initial observation.

Drew can play better without leaving the pocket like your OP suggests

I was implying that he hasn't changed his style since he's been in New Orleans. He's a pocket passer. Sorry about the game coverage.

My pocket comment was just a starter, I knew it would be controversial, but something is definitely going on, and wanted to maintain a thread. I know some qb's don't need to run, or are more comfortable not. Mainly just looking to point out our downfalls in order to improve for next year, we all have the same goals of repeating in the not so distant future.

maybe ya did miss then that he dealt with knee issues during the year. Heath Evans called it bad enough that many players wouldn't even play thru.

Would ya know a Perkins family in Palmer that are tiger alumni?

no he's not ..... b/c he had an MCL injury for most of the season. that changes everything. it's also why he could never get the deep ball down, he seemed to under-throw those a lot

didn't know about knee problems, every game televised up here is west coast announcers,(west coast biased) and that explains a lot, Most forums haven't mentioned it. Especially in a NFL market that isn't fave team based.
