Overrated IMO but I'm more of a bourbon drinker.

No I would not. I promise you that I would still think that for $750 a bottle it was overrated. I have a bottle of Cristal that is worth around $1000, it was a gift, but I have no idea when to use it. I will probably just crack it open and use it for mimosas some Sunday morning.

Bought a bottle of blue label on a cruise a few years back. I actually like the black label better.

Agree its over rated and way to much to pay for a blend, but if u like it, then more power to you.

All of the Johnnie Walker stuff and other lables like that are overpriced. They spend so much in marketing I guess they have to charge that much.
Not saying it is bad stuff by any means, but if you have a store that sales good quality stuff, you can find as good or better for a lower price.

Hey Santa Clara, you ever eat at Duarte's in Pescadero? The drive from Los Gatos to there is one of the most amazing in the area. Cream of green chilli soup...OMG. They had a $75 abalone sandwich the few times we went. There's a redwood grove on the way down the mountain that is in my top ten favorite places on this planet. Just so damn dreamy.

Photo I took in that grove:

blends get a bad wrap because of all of the bad blends on the market. A quality blend can be as good or even better than a quality single malt.

The main difference for afficianados is that they can actually taste the different regions where scotch is produced when drinking single malts. When blending, you remove some of the history from the taste.

That doesn't matter to me, as i'm not an afficianado, but just enjot a great tasting scotch.
