You forgot the team that is currently in position to secure the #1 overall seed.

Also, does the auto-bid go to the conference regular season winner or tournament winner? Because if it goes to regular season winner then you also missed us on that one too.

I'm sure there are others. I started making it one way with the regular season winner and then others in a different list, then I went back and changed it. Now I'm all over the place. I will definitely make this cleaner after I get back from lunch.

Without question, it would help LSU if any of the SEC shoe-ins for the NCAA tournament would win the SEC tournament. We don't want a Georgia,Auburn, or even Alabama getting the automatic bid.

I don't think not making the tournament and the poor SEC record will mandate LSU not make the tourney - saved by the sweep of Cal State.

LSU is good for ratings over any marginal teams and we all know how well LSU travels.

It doesn't matter. All 3 of those teams are 100% in if they (UGA & AUB) finish above .500

I have no idea what makes people think that finishing barely above 500 in the SEC, and making the SEC tournament, equates to an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

There really shouldn't be too much shock when neither Georgia nor Auburn make it.

.500 overall not in conference. And obviously no one will be surprised when neither makes it, because they are both in position to miss out unless they win some this week.

resident sun belt guru hendersonhands says that wku is no way an at large candidate with an rpi of 87. I agree with him. you may want to take them off.

eta: btw solid summary. very useful tool for the next couple of days.

Is this not a given, regardless of sport, circumstance, or situation?

In other words, as the old bumper stickers stated, "my favorite team is LSU and whoever plays tulane"

ETA - nice summary...man, there are a lot of conferences!

FAU is in right now. The Sun Belt will most likely get 3 so if FAU wins the tournament, it won't effect LSU any.

updated... mixed results so far, obviously the Auburn game being one everyone is keeping an eye on

South Carolina defeats Auburn.

Auburn would be eliminated from NCAA postseason tournament with a loss tomorrow (vs. loser of Vandy & Georgia)
