Some rumors are going around that he has committed to A&M. Was he a player LSU was going after? Had an offer? etc.?

I've read he's committed to A&M from a couple of sources. Miles doesn't get interested until they commit to A&M. Not sure how many more DL LSU will take this year. He's a good pickup for us.

He did commit. LSU had not offered but was recruiting him.
4 star on ESPN. 2 star on Rivals and Scout where I'm guessing he hadn't been dully evaluated yet

he is serious. It isn't the first time he's come here with that bullshite.
Obioha is someone we've been looking at, but I don't know if we're taking another DE this year. If we do, I would think it'd be the kid from Destrehan as a late take because we fell through on some DTs, because he projects bigger than DE in college.
I do think Obioha is higher on our board than the other LA DE A&M has a commitment from though.
ETA: I think he's also higher on our board than the kid at Episcopal as well.

Hunter got his spot, he didn't get an offer. TDavis is a tweener and is loose enough to play LB or DE, so it thats probably it for DE, unless we pull the Ohio Combo, off. That would put TDavis at LB, and make for one heck of a D front in the future.

He's been evaluated. ESPN is just terrible at ranking. 2*-3* is right where he belongs for now

He's not a 2 star. He'll be bumped to at least a 3 by both services. Don't hate

I think he is a good pickup for the Ags. LSU I think was running out of room at DE, so I like the pickup!
This is my first post over here so take it easy on me

You TAMU fans come out nowhere when you get a commit. Just waiting to brag when you land Devall I'll bet.

I said this on the -A&M will own LSU in recruiting thread- that me being new to recruiting and this board that I never got the "crazy A&M fan" or the "Texags forum" thing til I read the thread with the "they've been handing it to Miles for years now" and "Texas A&M will be the Florida of the SEC West in two years." And I also stated that I never got it partly because the A&M fans that consistently post on this board seemed respectful and knowledgable and I still believe that. So welcome to the board. That being said, I think that A&M can build a good team from Louisiana recruits that LSU does not offer. Just this year alone, so far, A&M has Darion Monroe,Alonzo Williams, and now Jullien Obioha(don't know if there is anyone that I missed). If yall can get Alonzo Moore that would boost the class even furthur. And if yall can steal Denzel Devall out of Louisiana from LSU, that would be the icing on the cake. If yall don't get Duvall, even the kids yall are getting that LSU does not offer can still help contribute greatly.

I think it was obvious after the Cotton Bowl, that A&M said, "Damn, we got to throw all our recruiting budget and time in Louisiana. Heck, they got true freshmen out here kicking our arse."

My comment was tongue in cheek. I think it is pretty well established that LSU can get most of the players they want from La. You can't sign them all and there are quality players that will definitely upgrade the talent on our team. You get Danielle Hunter, we get Julien. Both sides are happy.

I am a die hard Aggie, and I will agree there are some pretty delusional people over on Texags. I am a member there and it is difficult to read sometimes. I read the thread about us owning Miles in Louisiana recruiting and it was hard to read. I would say 80% of the time LSU will get who they want out of their state. Devall may be one that A&M can steal, and I will be happy if we do. I think A&M can do well stealing some talent out of Louisiana that LSU does not have room for such as Monroe, Obioha, Williams, etc. The amount of NFL talent produced in Louisiana is more then LSU has room for. And in reference to the freshman at LSU being studly in the Cotton Bowl. That DB, Tyrann Mathieu(sp)? He killed it that night and I would love for a player like that on our team. There is no doubt that LSU has the talent level, my only question is at QB this year for yall. Solid QB play and it will be hard for anyone to beat you. Kragthorpe may help with that offense. And for stealing him I will say

The only reason Devall doesnt like LSU is because he is convinced he will be the next Von Miller at A&M. He just doesnt wanna play MLB, which is where we want him at. I dont know if I would call that "stealing" though..

Is that not what schools do though in recruiting? Try and sell what they have based on a lot of factors including past products. It would be stupid for A&M not to sell Von Miller and get as much talent to Aggieland as possible because of it. Also, from what I hear the coaches think he can play any LB position we have and told him that. However, the thought of he and Santos or Richmond at ILB is pretty tempting. If we land Devall I will call it a steal. Top product out of Louisiana with an offer list including Bama and LSU picking the Ags
