Is anyone heading to Shoal Creek Saloon or Lavaca St Bar for the game Saturday night? The wife(no pics) and I will be going to Lavaca if they're showing it, the saloon if they aren't. Shoal Creek always shows the games.

Uncle Stu will be able to tell you if Lavaca will have it. I'm sure Shoal Creek definitely will.

I havent bothered to ask yet - I'll text them and see what they say
I got a FB invite from the ATX alum stating that both were televising the game, but havent spoken to the powers that be at Lavaca yet to confirm, although the person that keeps up with that stuff and updates FB is on top of her shite, doubtful she would post that without confirmation, but I'll check

I called lavaca yesterday and left a message but no return call. The website only shows the background on my blackberry, so I couldn't even see if its posted on there. Are you going stu?

If you have Timewarner Cable in Austin, you get ESPN 3. I believe they are going to be broadcasting the game next Saturday.

Is the ESPN3/Time Warner thing new for this year? I've never been able to get it.

In my experience if you've got a Time Warner TV and Roadrunner account, they'll give you a login so that you can watch the game on your computer over ESPN3.
To the best of my knowledge you can't watch ESPN3 on your Timer Warner TV cable box.
ETA: as I recall, you've got to create a login to "My Services" on the Time Warner Austin home page to enable ESPN3 access.
Anybody know any different?

no clue - I have UVerse, and it's offered as part of my ESPN Gameplan. I've never had to try and use ESPN3 before via my cable provider before

For all alumni in Austin, be sure to check out the austin alumni site at LINK or Facebook LINK . We have people who coordinate with the owners of shoal creek and lavaca to make sure the LSU game will be on, so you don't have to. We will start a Facebook event and post it on our site when we confirm that they are showing games. We also host several other events, so if you want to hang out with other Austin LSU alumni, follow the fb page or our site.
